Now in its 9th season, this documentary film series was created to educate and inspire the Collingwood and South Georgian Bay communityinto action. After the Last River (screening April 19) examines a community under pressure when poverty, neglect, and isolation combine to force the remote reserve of Attawapiskat to accept a diamond mine on its traditional territory.
The Festival airs six films through April, and offers live music and the option of a meal. Proceeds go to the Blue Mountain Watershed Trust and Elephant Thoughts Educational Outreach. See the film series website here.
